Sometimes I call up my sister, who is a librarian, to ask where on my bookshelves they should go. Luckily as this is a graphic novel, it can just go in the 741s in the library. The books I have the most trouble with are ones like The Odyssey. Where do you put That?J.T. I also liked the way you and Amy reviewed the book together. I like the fact that the stories are not really moralistic and many times the trickster wins :) The story 'When Coyote decided to get married' made me angry too. Isn't the curse on the princess lifted because of the efforts of a handsome prince, who happens to be passing by, and don't they live happily ever after? :)Vishyhttp://vishytheknight.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8282761092944595871.post-79848906786801915582010-06-11T09:19:27.947-05:002010-06-11T09:19:27.947-05:00Amy - Exactly! I would have just left that one out.

Amanda - With so many stories, it seemed the logical thing to do. :)

Ana - Except for that one story this book was great.

Aarti - Thanks for the recommendation. I'll check it out!

Avis - Isn't it strange how many books you see others got at BEA that you completely missed? I swear I sometimes think I was at a different event than other people. It's a similar premise to this one except with folklore from the British Isles. It's called Ballads, by Charles Vess. It looked really good!Aartihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02354873119188597611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8282761092944595871.post-5372358004842733512010-06-10T12:23:39.507-05:002010-06-10T12:23:39.507-05:00That story would make me angry too :\ In fact, jus...That story would make me angry too :\ In fact, just reading about it did. Ick ick ick, that is all I can say about it. Other than that one tale, though, I loved the book. I realize it was a different time and all that, but I still didn't like seeing that tale included. REALLY didn't like it. :(Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18102250492155489672noreply@blogger.com
