Mid Event Survey
1. What are you reading right now? Just finished The Penelopiad, and I'm not sure what's next...
2. How many books have you read so far? 4 and a bit of Dante's Inferno
3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon? I have two graphic novels that I'm looking forward to: Sandman vol. 4 and Unwritten
4. Did you have to make any special arrangements to free up your whole day? Nope! I'm lucky that way. No pets, no kids, and the hubby works on Saturdays.
5. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those? I warned family in advance to leave me alone. :P
6. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far? How fast it's going!
7. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year? Not a single one.
8. What would you do differently, as a Reader or a Cheerleader, if you were to do this again next year? Not a single thing.
9. Are you getting tired yet? Not quite yet, but I'm thinking it might be difficult to make it all 24 hours.
10. Do you have any tips for other Readers or Cheerleaders, something you think is working well for you that others may not have discovered? Move away from the computer if you want to get some reading done!
Dear blogger, I say you're the best!
ReplyDeleteYou've read now for hours without rest!
If you're sleepy, by chance,
Get up, do a dance!
You'll soon pass this Readathon test!
Isn't it going crazy fast? Yikes! Who knew! :)
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree about moving away from the computer to get some reading done! That's the only way it can happen. Cheerleading is so addictive!
ReplyDeleteYou've read 4 books already? Wow! And I agree, reading with the computer by your side certainly doesn't work ;)
ReplyDeleteWow Trisha, you are doing awesome. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteYou're doing fantastic! And it does help to not have a small child asking "Why is Mommy reading all day and not playing with me?" I did feel guilty last year when I did this!
ReplyDeleteAnd I did find it was so easy to get sucked into challenges rather than reading!
You're doing great! Keep going! Have fun!
Ah, The Penelopiad: short, but not easy. Great choice all the same! Good luck in the second half.
