Madison Paige
My beautiful little goose is four years old. Where, oh where, does the time go? She is remarkably kind, smart, and beautiful. I am, of course, biased, but still.
She is in pre-pre-school right now and loving it. Here she is on the first day which was back in February. This is also a good picture because it shows her with her eyes averted - a typical Madison pose. I have no clue why she won't look at the camera without serious prompting.
She is still very tall for her age, towering over the other kids in her class (and the class ahead of her) by a solid four inches. While, as a short person, I have hopes she breaks 5'6", at this rate she's going to be 8 feet tall. She's a smart cookie, counting to 100 when she doesn't get bored halfway through. She can do basic addition and subtraction, read some sight words which for some reason includes Kohl's, and count to 15 in Spanish. She knows the strangest things, and sometimes I am taken aback and wondering who in the world is teaching her these things.
She is the best big sister ever, putting up with an amazing amount of annoyance from Carter. She plays with him, lets him play with her toys, and doesn't strike back when he enthusiastically slaps her in the face to tell her he loves her.
My Madison is ridiculously girly with tutus and princess dresses; she even likes to dress in "nice" clothes for no reason
but she also drives tractors and digs in the dirt.
And she's always willing to make silly faces with me.
She was my nutter for the longest time, but her nickname has solidified into Goose - and as it's been Goose for at least a year now, it looks like she's stuck with it.
Beautiful! And she sure does look grown up! How have the years passed so quickly?!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt really is crazy how big she is and how she keeps growing and growing. A strange experience and feeling for sure.
DeleteSounds like she's growing into a perfect mix of traits. :D Love it!
ReplyDeleteThe girly is definitely the stronger right now which is crazy!
DeleteMy daughter was a bit of a clotheshorse at that age as well. Adorable pics! And I love that Kohl's is one of her sight words.
ReplyDeleteI realized it for the first time like a year ago, and I felt really bad at first. Then I was like, meh, she can read. :)
