Quick Pics from The Day of the Big Ick

The Day of the Big Ick aka the day Madison was born:

I apologize for the horror that is me in these pictures, but in my defense, I had just spent 8 hours pushing a 7lb 14oz baby with a 13in head out of my nether regions with no drugs to dull the pain. There was sweat involved. :)

  1. I understand my sister. We are all sisters when it comes to pushing large-headed babies out of nether regions. Funny I never considered my husband's large head a bad thing when I met him...

  2. Dude, you're crazy awesome! And I'm sure your daughter will one day find this post and yell at you for posting naked baby pictures on the Internet. :p

I wanted to swing by and let you know that I've given you the Kreativ Blogger award. Thanks for being so awesome (not only at blogging, but also at baby-having)!

  9. You look amazing. I can completely and utterly sympathize. I pushed my first out of my nether regions with no pain killers either. There was LOTS of sweat involved. Enjoy motherhood!

  11. You look perfectly fine for having just delivered a baby! I can't remember if you posted before that you had no drugs? You probably did, but with the insomnia I've had for the last five months, I barely remember things these days. One way or another, I'm going to congratulate you (possibly a second or third time) on doing that. :D
