I HAVE BAD NEWS. I'm afraid The Raven King has been pushed back to 2016 D: (I know, I cried too.)
ReplyDeleteOh no! That's seriously saddening news.
DeleteHahahaha, I'm really glad I wasn't the one to break this news! It's such sad news! I am crushed, but also kind of pleased because I said all along I didn't see how she was going to get it out in 2015. And, like, it was a relief to find that I have not fundamentally failed in my understanding of the publishing industry in which I work. :p
DeleteNext year? That seriously sucks.
DeleteYes, The Raven King has been pushed back. The author wants to make it the best that she can. That's a good thing, but I'm looking forward to seeing where the story is headed. I feel like reading the last book over again now.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea how you can whittle your list down to six (I couldn't even do ten!), but your picks are pretty great. I'm torn as to whether or not I want to read After Alice, but I do keep coming back to look at it.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really a new releases girl. My backlist is so huge that reading recently published works is not necessary. :)
DeleteSo sad The Raven King got pushed back, I was so excited for it (still am but now more impatient than excited).

Ooooo, new Gregory Macguire? I did not know that! I'm super psyched about Armada too.
ReplyDeleteI was so sad to hear about the Raven King's pushback. :(
ReplyDeleteI'm so nervous/excited about the new Harper Lee that I almost can't stand it. I'm going to temper my expectations. I'm going to TRY to temper my expectations ;)
