Right now I really don't feel like a dedicated reader. I feel like an overwhelmed reader, someone who has so many books waiting to be read she can't actually pick up any single book.

So what kind of reader are you?

  2. I am a dedicated reader too, but I empathise with your feeling of being an overwhelmed reader - I have dozens of books to read and for the past 2-3 weeks I've struggled to focus on any of them as there are so many more screaming to be read

  3. I am a Dedicated Reader too...I'm wondering if all book bloggers would qualify for that one! I feel overwhelmed too. I just got back home after being gone for three weeks, to find a freaking TOWER of books waiting for me! OMG. I'm back in the hole I was attempting to dig out of.

  5. Not all book bloggers are dedicated readers! (I'm an obsessive-compulsive bookworm, apparently.) I couldn't answer the set question either because I had read all of any of the options.

I can totally relate to feeling overwhelmed too!

  8. I am also a dedicated reader, and I am also drowning in unread books to the point of utter paralysis. Frustrating!

  9. I think I might be an obssessive compulsive reader. But quizzes like this make me insecure and self-questioning. They remind me of all the quizzes I used to take in teen magazines. Now I realize some writer or editor just made those quizzes up! ;)

  10. I'm totally with you on the overwhelmed reader. The only books I am even INTERESTED in reading lately are ones that are NOT for review.. which isn't good, lol! I took the quiz and got Dedicated Reader. Pretty much all the same as you, but a little less on the book snob and more on the fad, lol

  12. Brizmus - Great readers read alike!

Bernadette - Exactly. As I'm reading one book, I'm thinking about the others; it's distracting.

Sandy - I'm surprised by how annoyed I am at the huge TBR piles. I think I'm going to make a real effort to diminish those piles and not restock them for a while.

Clare - I skipped that one too for the same reason!

Avis - Yay! You are unique! :)

Kathy - Dedicated readers certainly seem to be a blogger trend.

Marce - Just like Avis, you are unique! I'm going to have to play around with the answers to see how the quiz works.

Ana - The world would be a better place if more people read.

Andi - Paralysis is a good word for what I'm feeling. I can't make a decision to save my soul; and I end up staring at the TBR piles, utterly still and possibly drooling.

Lisa - Haha! See and I absolutely adore these little quizzes whether I feel they are right or wrong. :)

Jenny - I think BEA just put me over the edge with unread books! And I've never been good with scheduled reading.

Trish - Too funny that so many of us are dedicated readers.

  13. I got Dedicated Reader as well, but I was distracted by the visitor comments and how they're all about Twilight! Hilarious.

  14. Cass - Hahaha! I didn't see that; I will have to check it out.
